White Palace in the Blue Ocean: Longdong Four Seasons Bay
Built in the shape of a glorious palace, the park provides various recreational experiences in all four seasons. In spring, visitors can take boats whale and dolphin watching. In summer, visitors can enjoy sea activities such as swimming or taking a ride in a sea-going submarine. In autumn and winter it's time for cape trail hiking.
Longdong Bay Cape Trail
As a famous world-class mysterious sightseeing spot, Longdong Bay Cape Trail has an entrance in its south located north of the parking site of the Ocean Park in the south of Longdong. This 3.5km-long trail is gentle, thus suitable for people of all ages and genders. The view of the sea differs as one climbs higher. On the trail stands a sightseeing platform where visitors can see the Xilingyan Temple above. Walking down the stone footpath next to Longdong Elementary School to the shore, visitors can reach the Longdongwan Park via the main road in the community.
Longdong Rock Climbing Site
One of the best rock-climbing sites in Taiwan, the Longdong Rock Climbing Site is located at Longdong Cape. The coast of Longdong is about 1km long. As the stratum exposed in the air is sandstone, the oldest and hardest rock layer in the Northeast Coast with good cementation, it is very hard and suitable for climbing. The climbing site is spacious, with locations with low to high levels of difficulty, making it a great site for training for both beginners and intermediate to advanced climbers.
